Gender Quilt
What is a Gender Quilt?
I'm a big fan of web history and looking through archives of old websites. I saw that some people on geocities had these little 'quilts' that acted as directories to the sites of their friends and family, styled like an adorable quilt. People would make their own little quilt squares so that if you wanted to add their link to your page, you could add another square to your little quilt.
I adored this concept and came up with the idea of... a Gender Quilt!
While I personally love to hoard genders like nobody's business, I found it a little tedius to keep track of all the names. I have some broad concepts that make up my gender, and the labels I use reflect that. However, there's never going to be one label that resonates with me 100% because my gender encompasses so many things. The Gender Quilt solves these issues too, as I can just make another quilt square to add to my collection!
They aren't labels, just a collection of images that make up gender!
How do I make one?
It's simple, really..!
First, you start with a quilt rack. You can find them by searching archives, or by making your own! Or you can use one of mine, of course. :3
Then, you fill up your quilt with squares! I want to standardize the sizes at least somewhat so that anyone can use them, but honestly it doesn't matter that much. My quilt rack is 450 px wide, squares are 150px x 150px, short squares are 150 px x 50 px, and smol squares are 50px x 50px!
That way, you can have a row of either 3 squares or short squares or 9 smol squares!

Who can use them?
ANYONE!
Even if you're on my DNI, feel free to use the concept of a gender quilt.
If you're on the DNI, however, I kindly ask you not to use my specific templates or ready-to-use squares, but I know I can't stop anyone.
